How to Fold Potstickers
Find a good filling recipe! We like the recipe from The Woks of Life Easiest Pork and Cabbage Potsticker Recipe.
- 3 cups napa cabbage (shredded)
- 8 oz. ground pork (225g)
- 1/2 cup leeks or scallions
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1 pack round dumpling skins
- Vegetable oil (for pan frying)
- Gather your supplies: potsticker skins, meat filling, bowl of water, spoon and metal tray.
- Take the potsticker skin and place a scoop of the meat filling in the center.
- Using your index finger, wet the top inside half of the potsticker skin.
- Then, fold the potsticker skin in half and wet the top half of the potsticker skin that is facing you.
- Next, start to make folds with the part of the potsticker skin that is facing you and pinch it into the back potsticker skin.
- Lastly, to ensure the potsticker stays closed when cooking, pinch the entire seam closed for good measure.
